Quirk, Inc. Announces a New Digital Archive Imaging Center

October 29, 2002 — Netcong, New Jersey: Quirk Inc, looking to the future has made a major commitment to the rapidly developing need to eliminate the storage of paper records via digital imaging. According to Kevin Quirk, this hundred-year-old moving and storage company has jumped into the tech world with a digital archive-imaging center. One of the first such centers for a major moving company. Quirk, which enjoys an industry reputation for it's paper record storage services to the fortune 500, views digital imaging as a natural extension of it's commitment to clients.

Quirk offers a wide range of services within its archive storage and imaging center. Twenty-four hour emergency service, e-mail file delivery, and conversion of paper to OCR (Optical Character Recognition) or editable text. CDs or DVDs can hold from 18,000 to 120,000 images respectively and are viewable in these formats: TIFF, BMP, PDF, Color PDF, and JPEG.

Talk about savings, one DVD can hold up to 120,000 pages of paper at 200 DPI, 8.5" x 11", eliminating 400, 1.5 cubit foot boxes of storage needs. Imaging can permanently eliminate hard document storage all together. A few clicks of the mouse for instant access to documents. The data can be sent by e-mail, or carry your most important records on a CD with you.
