This is the newest line of digital services that Quirk
offers. "With the new HIPAA regulations coming into existence in April we
wanted to offer our extensive medical clients additional security
regarding the storage and transference of their x-ray’s." says Kevin
Quirk.
Digitized x-rays offer Radiologists and patients many
advancements and advantages over regular film. Radiologists have the
opportunity to zoom in, inverse, brighten and change resolution. "Once in
their PAC system or the mini PAC system we offer for sale the practice can
discard old films and recover the silver and reduce their storage costs"
according to Quirk.
"We want to partner with our clients. HIPAA is serious
business and we need to add that bridge for our hospitals and medical
practices" says Greg Anderson, Quirks Archive System Manager. Quirk has
added many internal safety levels within their own organization to ensure
that the integrity of the x-ray film is never compromised.
The transmission is sent directly to the Radiologists desk
via DICOM. It’s safe and fast. Quirk says they’ll guarantee delivery
within one hour from time of delivery.
